OBJECTIVES:

To enrich and strengthen the academic performance of the students
To stimulate & motivate the students to participate in the co-curricular activities
To promote the health status of the students, faculties, and public
To treat acute & chronic illness among the patients
To balance the mind & body
To activate the acupuncture points for well being.
To improve the function and capacities of vital organs
To develop the research activities on alternative therapies

FUNCTIONS:

Incorporating the practices of alternative therapies along with the nursing care
Regularly conducting the awareness program to the students, faculties and public
Periodically Perform Research activities regarding complementary and alternative therapies
Regularly insisting the students to practice the concentrated breathing every morning before commencement of classes
Motivate and encourage the faculty members to do yoga before going to lunch.
Consultation and treatment session for the public between 10.30-12.30 pm from Tuesday to Friday
Conduct awareness program for the SVGI faculties and students, once in a month
Dissemination of knowledge through conducting conferences, workshops and skill training
Promote publication about research findings
