WORLD DIABETES DAY

Theme for 2018 : “THE FAMILY AND DIABETES”
The rally was organized by Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services, Puducherry. Through this we spread awareness among the public regarding healthy lifestyles and preventive measures. Ms. M. Sandanalakshmi, Ms. Leona, faculty members and B.sc Nursing (III year) GNM (II &III year) students had participated.
PALLIATIVE NURSING CARE

TOPIC : CME ON PALLIATIVE NURSING CARE
The programme was organized by palliative care unit, SVMCH&RC. The sponsor for this programme was Pallium India. Various speakers with their valuable inputs made the event successful. The faculty of ICON , B.sc Nursing III year students and staff nurse participated.
VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 2018

Theme : ERADICATE CORRUPTION – BUILD A NEW INDIA
As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2018, various competitions were held in Indirani College of Nursing from 29.10.18 to 31.10.18 between 10.00 to 11.00 am in multipurpose hall.
On 29.10.18, Essay competition (Tamil / English) was conducted from 10.00 to 10.30 AM. 14 students participated from M.sc (N), B.sc (N), P.B.B.sc (N), DGNM and ANM . Half an hour was allotted for each participant.

TOPIC :EMERGING TRENDS IN INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY
Regarding world heart day celebration Seminar on emerging trends in interventional cardiology was arranged by medical surgical nursing department. The speaker is DR.SATHISH BABU, HOD in cardiology, SVMCH&RC. The faculties of ICON and B.sc nursing, III year students participated.
QUIZ COMPETITION

7.8.18 – Morning B.sc students conducted exhibition and puppet show for the mothers who visited Paediatric OPD. The faculty presented health education regarding various aspects of breast feeding techniques
ORS DAY CELEBRATION

Programme was organized by Mrs.E.Chandralekha, Asso Professor. & Ms.Vaishnavi , Lecturer. The students from M.Sc CHN dept & mothers of children who visited PHC were the participants.

On 7th April, Our B.Sc Nursing (II, III, IV) year students participated in State Level Quiz Competition -2018 (Medical Diagnostics and Pharmacology) organized by Apollo College of Nursing. The students participated as two groups in quiz competition and won certificates.

Lamp lighting ceremony for XIV batch of B.SC NURSING, DGNM, and ANM was conducted. The chief guest was Dr.Fabiola Dhanraj Principal , Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing, Enabhur, Chennai. Students took FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE pledge after lighting lamp.
